Using QuantumFira in ChatGPT
Open the QuantumFira plugin in ChatGPT.
Ask ChatGPT to use QuantumFira with the ticker symbols you want to analyse, for example "Optimise a portfolio of AAPL, MSFT, NVDA, JNJ and XOM" or "Compare a QAOA quantum portfolio with a classical one for SPY, TLT and GLD". No account is needed.
- Optimise a portfolio: a classical Markowitz maximum-Sharpe portfolio for 2 to 12 tickers, fitted on the earlier part of about two years of daily prices and measured on the later part, beside an equal-weight portfolio.
- Compare with QAOA: for 3 to 6 tickers, choosing about half of them is written as a QUBO and sampled with QAOA on the Amazon Braket SV1 quantum circuit simulator. The lowest-cost valid selection is weighted classically and compared with the classical portfolio on the same data.
- Ticker symbols: use Yahoo Finance symbols, such as BRK-B for Berkshire Hathaway class B or VOD.L for Vodafone in London.
- Usage limits: fair-use limits apply per hour and per day. If you reach one, try again later.

Does the QAOA tool run on quantum hardware?
No. It runs on Amazon Braket's SV1 quantum circuit simulator, which executes the quantum circuit exactly. A QAOA portfolio can match or trail the classical one, and results are reported as found.
Why was a ticker rejected?
QuantumFira only runs on live price history. If prices cannot be loaded for a symbol, check its Yahoo Finance spelling and try again.
What data does the ChatGPT app receive?
Only the ticker symbols and settings for your request. See section 2.3 of the privacy policy.
